Out of curiosity, I figured out when I decided cartoonist was the job for me. It was shortly after reading Spider-Man #18 [https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/10776/spider-man_1990_18], which Marvel published in January of 1992. Time from then till now: 28 years.
Last December I left the job I’d been at for a decade, to give one final go at my lifelong dream of being a full time cartoonist. I set a date to review my progress, to decide if I should keep going or retreat: July 1st. Low and behold,
