The Chairs' Hiatus Companion Book
"The Chairs' Hiatus Companion Book"—28 pages of bonus comics and illustrations from multiple artists—is now included with the Revised Edition. Here's what's inside and how to get it.
I’ve added The Chairs’ Hiatus – Companion Book to my recently released revised edition of my first graphic novel.
For those who haven’t read it, The Chairs’ Hiatus follows Mary and Nel, a rock duo who spent every day together on tour—until Mary mysteriously appears in a new city, having given up her music, fame, and friends. She wants nothing more than to work her lousy job and be left alone, but the two people who show up on her doorstep are determined to make sure that won’t happen.
The revised edition includes a handful of updated panels, some new pages, and small tweaks throughout — the kind of changes that come from looking at old work with a decade of hindsight.
The Companion Book
The companion book is 28 pages of extra comics and illustrations of The Chairs from back in the day, by yours truly and several other talented artists and writers. There's stories about how the characters met, glimpses into characters lives you barely saw, and more. Originally sent as a print edition to Kickstarter backers it's nice for it to have a more long term home.
You can read the original version of The Chairs' Hiatus for free, or the new revised edition with the companion book on Patreon for $3. Paid members get it as part of their membership.
