The cover to “The Chairs’ Hiatus companion book” by Lucy Bellwood
We’ve reached our third streatch goal, and raised enough to make some really nice looking books! Which brings me to our 4th and final stretch goal…
The Chairs’ Hiatus Companion Book
Thanks to your generosity I’m already going to be sending out PDFs of four additional comics that take place in the world of The Chairs. Since the goal of this Kickstarter was to make nice looking printed comics however it seems fitting to try and give these stories a physical home as well.
If we can reach $6,600 before the end of the Kickstarter I can print a 32 page companion to The Chairs’ Hiatus that every backer who’s getting a copy of the book will get!
It will include:
- This full color cover by cartoonist Lucy Bellwood of Baggywrinkles and Cartoza Tales
- five additional comics by me
- “Joe” – abut a character crucial to The Chairs’ Hiatus who’s never seen in the actual book.
- A new story about Jen O’Neil, the Pete Best of The Chairs
- A new story about Nel
- A new comic about how Mary and Nel met.
- “Quarters Just Fell Out a Hole in My Pocket” which was drawn a warm up for The Chairs’ Hiatus.
- Multiple guest comics, sketches and illustrations of The Chairs done just for this Kickstarter by
- Chris A’Lurede
- Tyler Crook of BPRD, and Petrograd
- Rick Marks of Floating Dock Comics
- Michael Olliver
- Josh Shalek of Falling Rock National Park
- Adrian Wallace of Jumbo Deluxe
Since the story about Jen O’Neil is exclusive to backers, this book won’t be available anywhere else. If you don’t get it by backing this Kickstarter it will be gone for good. I won’t be selling it at conventions or on my site.
That’s 32 pages of new material, sized to fit in well sitting next to The Chairs’ Hiatus on your shelf.
We’ve got 10 days to reach this goal, so if you want to try and get a copy of this you’ve got to do so quickly! Let your friends know about the Kickstarter, spread the word about this last stretch goal. We can do it!
Thank you so much to everyone for the support you all have shown me. I can’t wait to start getting some of these cool things into your hands!
