Jesse Holden and I will be at several comic events in the northwest over the next month, and they are three of my favorites. If you're planning to be in Beaverton, OR, Vancouver, BC, or Juneau, AK, in the next several weeks, read on.

Beaverton Library Free Comic Book Day Mini-Con
First up, on Saturday, May 6th, head to the Beaverton City Library for their Free Comic Book Day Mini-Con. This free event is open to all ages from 11 AM to 1 PM. You'll have a chance to claim a free comic book, chat with local comic and graphic novel artists, and buy books and swag.

Alaska Robotics Mini-Con
Next, on May 13th, make your way to the Andrew P. Kashevaroff (APK) Building in Juneau, Alaska, for the Alaska Robotics Mini-Con. This tiny convention features comics, games, workshops, and presentations throughout the day. The main event runs from 10 AM to 5 PM, followed by a comics camp retreat for visiting artists. (Matt only)

The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival
Finally, on May 20th and 21st, we will be at The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival (VanCAF) at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. This two-day celebration of comics and graphic novels features an exhibition and vendor fair with hundreds of creators from around the world well as readings, panels, and workshops. Admission is free, so don't miss out.
Mark the dates on your calendar, come meet some cool folks and get some great comics.
