Navigating a creative partnership can be one of the trickiest parts of a project. I'm happy to say that Jesse and my six-year collaboration has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my comics career.
So, as part of our series about the creation of Incredible Doom, we made a video about how we work together. It covers everything from how we structured our legal relationship to the writing techniques we use.
Back in 2016, I was spending time, after my day job, at a co-working space called XOXO Outpost. Listening to all the creative professionals there talking about their day, I realized that, although the work they were doing daily sounded tough, none of it was work I was incapable of.
That realization is one of the big inspirations for trying something as ambitious as Incredible Doom.
