Putting tones on “Spider-Man Blue”

Last night I took a page from Spider-Man Blue by Tim Sale and stripped the color out of it. This, by itself, is a fun hobby.

Inspired by how beautifully Sale lights his scene I spent a couple hours applying the two tones I use in my own comics to it.

Fun way to spend an evening.

    1. Thanks Lucy. It was really soothing. Sitting on the sofa with an iPad, watching Survivor with girlfriend, figuring out light sources from someone else’s illustration.
